I am a Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge and a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge. I work in Dr. Rob Foster's group, where my research focuses on enhancing connection ductility in timber systems as part of a broader programme on the mechanics-based design of low-carbon and resilient structural systems.
Before joining the University of Cambridge, I was a President's PhD Scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London, working under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Elghazouli and Dr. Dan Bompa. My PhD research investigated the material and structural behaviour of rubberised alkali-activated concrete, including its rate-dependent response and its application in structural members.
I hold an MSc in Structural Engineering and a BEng in Civil Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia. My MSc research, which was supervised by Prof. Raizal Saifulnaz, focused on developing mechanics-based solutions for predicting the behaviour of reinforced concrete structures.
